I’m So Glad You’re Here

ABOUT ME

I’m a first-generation, bilingual Cuban American, born and raised in New Jersey. My identity and cultural background deeply shape the way I approach therapy, with warmth, curiosity, and a deep respect for the complexity of our stories.

I didn’t always know I would become a psychologist. I once imagined a career in veterinary medicine, but a college psychology course opened up a new path—one that felt unexpectedly personal and deeply meaningful. That moment marked the beginning of my journey into this work, and I’ve never looked back.

Outside the therapy room, I’m a partner, a parent to three spirited children, and the human to two Australian Shepherds and two cats. Life at home is rarely quiet—and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

In addition to working with clients, I’m passionate about supporting the next generation of therapists. I offer online psychoeducation and mentorship for early-career clinicians who want to deepen their clinical presence and confidence.

Whether you're navigating grief, trauma, identity, caregiving, or just feeling stuck, my hope is to offer a space where you feel understood, supported, and never alone in the process.

“When a person realizes he has been deeply heard...It is as though he were saying, "Thank God, somebody heard me. Someone knows what it's like to be me”

– Carl Rogers

MY TRAINING

I hold a PhD in Clinical Psychology and am licensed in both New Jersey and New York. I’m also a PSYPACT provider, which allows me to offer telehealth services across multiple states.

Over the years, I’ve provided bilingual (English and Spanish) clinical and forensic psychological evaluations, as well as therapy for people of all ages. My experience spans diverse settings—including outpatient clinics, inpatient units, partial hospitalization programs, psychiatric emergency rooms, and private practice.

I’ve had the privilege of training at respected institutions such as the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, NYU Langone, and the Metro RDTC at Children’s Hospital of New Jersey.

In addition, I’ve conducted forensic evaluations for courts in New York and New Jersey, and have testified as an expert witness in New Jersey Superior Court.
